Catering Boiler Relieves Queues Of Coffee Seekers
As I sit here contemplating whether I can justify a break in the work to avail myself of another cup of refreshingly delicious coffee, I am reminded of an episode recently at a heritage house where I help as a room steward. There was a fund raising event elsewhere on the site with their own vast catering vans etc. but for some reason, lots of folk decided to come to the main house and try squeezing in to the tiny visitor tea room. It was chaos with folk getting agitated at slow service. In a trice we’d radio’d through for a catering boiler to be provided with the appropriate ready prepared coffee supplies so a faster service could be provided. It was almost like a relief operation but at least folk stopped moaning and were generous in their eventual praise for the efforts of the staff in difficult circumstances!
