From Percolator To Roasty Toasty Perfection
I have been amazed at the take up of coffee machinery in local houses – when I first moved here some years ago, it was the thing to have a filter coffee machine, some folk clung on to their beloved coffee percolators, which were the smart forerunner. They smelt fabulous when bubbling frantsically, but it was a lot of fuss and bother getting the right coffee to put in one and they seemed a bit fiddly to put together and use. But as we now know the modern coffee fanatic can have even more excitement in their lives with one of the splendidly efficient ‘all singing, all dancing’ machines. As far as I know they are still not actually able to grow the beans yet but they do just about everything else from roasting, grinding and then brewing fabulous coffee, all at the touch of a couple of shiny levers and buttons.
