From Smart Bone China To Builder’s Mug
One of the most interesting things about spending holidays with someone you used to work with but haven’t seen for many years – is how they seem to change and take on really surprising characteristics. For example, a chum who, for all the years we worked together back here in UK used to drink copious amounts of tea and coffee. But only when transferred out of the skinny plastic cup from the dispenser, into gloriously decadent bone china cups and saucers kept in her top drawer. Woh betide anyone thinking of sneaking a sip or two from her special crocks. There were no smart shiny coffee machines in those day. Just a wall mounted Klix dispenser. . . . Meeting up with this same chum years later, I found her an ardent non coffee drinker and also she’s down to one cup of tea a day – from what looks like a builder’s mug. No bone china in sight!
